Mr Colin Hayfield

Colin is a chartered accountant and has been Chairman of Sports Orthopaedics from its formation.
He is a governor of three schools, a director of a number of companies and closely associated with a number of charities.

 

 


Company Secretary
Mrs Margaret Anthony

Margaret graduated from Sussex University in 1985 with a BA (Hons) in Economics and French. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Moores Rowland in Brighton in 1989, and has been a Partner at Hardcastle Burton since 2002. Margaret prepares management accounts and statutory accounts for the Sports Orthopaedics Group and was appointed Company Secretary in 2009. 

 

 


Group Business Manager
Mrs Susan O'Gorman

Sue joined Sports Orthopaedics UK as Group Business Manager in August 2009, and brings with her over 20 years experience working to support surgeons and physicians in developing their private practices, first at BMI Healthcare for 15 years as a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualified professional.  Sue then joined the British Medical Journal in a business development capacity working at a PCT and SHA level and latterly worked at The London Bridge Hospital as Consultant Liaison Manager, supporting the CEO in his reach to over 600 consultants and acting as the primary link between the consultants and the senior management team.

 


Group Business Analyst
Mrs Sian McDermott

Sian has had a varied career spanning the Banking, I.T., Travel and Consulting industries, providing experience in Project Planning, I.T., planning, implementing and supporting PC networks across Europe, Management, HR, Contract Negotiation and Training. Sian also has considerable experience in Business Process Improvement, incorporating identifying and implementing efficiencies, business strategy and information management techniques.

Medical Secretary in Northwood Sports Orthopaedics
Mrs Mandy O'Connorr

Mandy has been with Sports Orthopaedics since its start, and came to us with extensive experience in the Private Health Sector; starting as a receptionist and working her way up to managing the Bookings Department of a busy local private hospital before taking on a role as a private medical secretary. Mandy is a fundraiser for a local dance company and enjoys her garden and travel with her family in her spare time.

 


Senior Medical Secretary, London Sports Orthopaedics
Fay Arthurell

Fay joined London Sports Orthopaedics in July 2009.  Prior to this, Fay was a Medical Secretary in the Pathology Department of The London Clinic and before this she had experience in working as a PA to the Membership Secretary of Southend General Hospital Foundation Trust. Fay has a background in healthcare, having achieved 4 years of a BSc Adult Nursing studies course at Kings College, London.  Fay's interests include cooking plus she has recently got an allotment, which she enjoys and which keeps her busy.

Rachael Meeks

Rachael joined London Sports Orthopaedics in June 2010.  Rachael previously worked at The Wellington Hospital in London as a medical secretary for a private orthopaedic practice.  Prior to this, Rachael gained her experience in the healthcare sector at King's College Hospital, where she worked as a Customer Care Advisor in the A & E Department.  Rachael has also worked at the London Bridge Hospital as an Outpatient Accounts Administrator.

Helen McLean

Helen joined Sports Orthopaedics UK as a medical secretary in July 2010. She has previous experience in the Private Health Sector working in both patient facing and secretarial roles. In her spare time Helen enjoys dancing - attending classes ranging from ballet to Bollywood.

Angela Cann

Angela joined Sports Orthopaedics UK in the expansion of the Cardiff branch in January 2010.  Angela brings with her a broad range of experience from her 11 years within the National Health Service, which included the roles of Medical Secretary, PA to a Professor and Head of Department, PA to Service and Clinical Directors and Retinal Grader. She has also owned and managed a small business.  Prior to joining us Angela provided support to the Dean and her Senior Management team at Cardiff University.  In her spare time Angela enjoys travelling and photography.

Delia van Sittert

Before joining The Sports Orthopaedic Clinic in May 2010, Delia worked for two major private hospitals in London.  Delia started off working as an Outpatients Receptionist at the Cromwell Hospital before working her way up as the Senior Outpatients Receptionist.  Moving on from there, Delia joined St John & St Elizabeth Hospital, working in the Outpatients Department as their Outpatients Admin Supervisor.
